The delegation from Vietnam arrived in Irkutsk to discuss promising areas of
cooperation with BSU. The university in Halong has 10 thousand students and more
than 300 staff and teachers. According to the rector of the Vietnamese
university Nguyen Duc Tiep, they would like to have partnership relations with
Baikal State University, as a leading economic university of the Siberian
region, not only in the field of education, but also in scientific areas in the
field of economics, tourism and information technology.
Acting Rector of BSU Oleg Gribunov noted that the walls of Baikal University
for the first time hosted a delegation from Halong:
“We are certainly interested in expanding cooperation with Vietnam. We are
ready to offer you several promising areas and discuss plans for internship of
our students in your university. We thank you for your visit and hope for
beneficial work”.
