A delegation of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences today visited Baikal State University.
Scientists talked about the activities of the Institute, which they represent, got acquainted with the University of Baikal: they visited the Media Center, visited the halls of the scientific library and the museum of the history of BSU. Sun Zhuangzhi - Director of the Institute - left an entry in Russian in the book of reviews of the Guests of Honor. During the meeting, on behalf of his colleagues, he expressed interest in cooperation with the Baikal State University.
"The training of highly qualified scientific pedagogical personnel, scientific research - all this is in the sphere of our interests," Oleg Gribunov, rector of BSU, greeted the guests, "I am sure that at the site of Baikal State University we will be able to promote and implement promising and relevant scientific projects that are in demand today."
Another possible plane of cooperation between scientists was announced - not only to develop existing scientific projects and exchange experience, but also to solve large-scale problems, to train young specialists for research in the Arctic.
Professor Chu Dongmei from the Institute for the Study of Border Problems of China of the PRC Academy of Social Sciences spoke about this.
