A trip to a friendly country was made possible thanks to the Culture and
Education program organized by the Baikal Russian-Vietnamese Friendship Society
with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo.
On a business visit, BSU teachers and students have already visited 5
educational organizations in Hanoi, where they discussed the prospects for the
development of further cooperation in educational programs of BSU. In
particular, they talked about conducting language internships and practices
between universities, interaction in the field of science. Particular attention
was paid to the promotion of BSU within the quota campaign, the possibilities of
organizing the participation of Vietnamese students in international olympiads,
promoting Russian culture and the Russian language.
As commented and. about. Vice-Rector for Research and International
Activities of BSU Lyudmila Sanina, there is a high interest of the Vietnamese
side in strengthening educational, scientific and cultural ties. "Such
initiatives help turn memorable dates and official events into live
communication of people united by love for their countries," added Lyudmila
Valerievna.
At a high level, a reception was held at the Russian House, where members of
the delegation met with the director of the organization V.V. Murashkin and
deputy. department of public diplomacy of Rossotrudnichestvo E. E. Demin;
management and students of the branch of the Russian Center for Science and
Culture named after Pushkin; representatives of the Center for Russian Language
and Culture.
Irkutsk residents visited the Hanoi University of Business and Technology.
Met with students studying Russian; leadership of the faculties of the Russian
language and Russian culture; Vietnamese studies at Vietnam National University;
the leadership of the Center for Vietnamese-Russian Cooperation and the Hanoi
College of Commerce and Tourism.
For reference: 2025 is marked by the celebration of significant events in the
history of two states: the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic
War and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's independence. Following the talks
between Russian President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lama, 2026 was declared the Year
of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in the field of science and education.
