The university from Shenyan is one of the first eastern partners of the Baikal State University. Relations between educational organizations began almost 30 years ago.
And over the years, more than 200 bachelors, 60 masters in international economics, trade, management and law have been trained. More than 500 students were able to get language practice as part of summer schools. One of the first in Russia, BSU and Shenyansky Polytech opened a double diploma program.
The current visit is with congratulations on the 95th anniversary of BSU and a discussion of plans for the coming years. Ms. Li Lin, a 2000 BSU graduate in World Economy, now the head of the department of international exchanges and cooperation at Shenyang Polytechnic University, represented her colleagues. With warmth and pride, she recalled her student years at BSU.
Vice-Rector of Shenyang Polytechnic Chen Liang noted that the time has come to deepen the strategic partnership. "We propose to expand our cooperation. Use the common potential for joint scientific research and carry out educational exchange not only by student groups, but also by faculty."
To which the rector of Baikal State University, Professor Oleg Gribunov, replied that the constructive proposals of his colleagues would form the basis of the roadmap. "I propose to form a document within the framework of which our further cooperation will be implemented, subject to new promising directions both from your and from our side."
