A large-scale event is taking place these days in the capital of Buryatia. More than 150 representatives of the academic community take part in the work, including delegations from leading universities in Mongolia and 60 Russian universities.
The audience was greeted by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky.
The topic of Oleg Gribunov's report at the panel session is "Industrial partners of an educational organization - a key factor in the development of science." The professor also spoke about the long-term cooperation of BSU with Mongolia.
For 95 years, Baikal State University has trained 1,200 highly qualified specialists for the national economy of Mongolia. Among the graduates is the country's Prime Minister Gombozhavyn Zandanshatar, who graduated from BSU in 1992 with a degree in financier-economist.
BSU conducts active joint research work with Mongolian scientific and educational organizations. Within the framework of cooperation at BSU, it is planned to hold the Oriental Conference "300 years of the Irkutsk School of Mongolian Studies: Traditions, Current State and Prospects" in September.
