Scientific and practical conference "Transformation of Public-Legal
Institutions in Modern Russia" started its work today at Baikal State
University. According to Svetlana Praskova, Director of the Institute of State
Law and National Security of BSU, the theme of the conference was outlined back
in February and will touch upon general theoretical issues in legal sciences.
Baikal State University has sent invitations to scientists from Belarus,
Tajikistan and Mongolia.
"For several years, we have been actively supported by colleagues from the
Lomonosov Moscow State University branch in Dushanbe. We sent invitations to the
conference within the III Baikal Legal Forum to lawyers from many regions of our
country", - explained Svetlana Praskova.
As noted by the conference organizers, they specifically planned to discuss a
wide range of issues, because it is possible to do this only within the
framework of a large-scale forum. The theme of the conference is relevant not
only for Russia, but also for the countries of the near abroad, because in the
last five years all former Soviet Union republics have undergone constitutional
reforms. Both Kazakhstan and Tajikistan carried out serious activities to reform
constitutional legislation, so participants from these states will find the
conference extremely useful.
"Public power is transforming and adapting to new conditions. Both foreign
scientists and researchers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg,
Novosibirsk, etc. will take part in the conference online," says Svetlana
Praskova.
