An international conference "Dialogue between Russian and Chinese youth in a
new era" was held in Beijing. It was organized by the Institute of Russia,
Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (KAON)
and Beijing University of Foreign Languages.
BSU at the forum presented the head of the department of mathematical methods
and digital technologies, cand. tech. Sciences Alexey Rodionov. He made a
presentation "Youth scientific cooperation between Russia and China in a new
era."
In his speech, Alexey Vladimirovich shared the experience of BSU in the field
of digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence systems into
the scientific environment. Our scientist emphasized the changing role of higher
education in the era of neural networks:
"Artificial intelligence allows you to accelerate research and development
multiple times. However, this is possible only if the person independently sets
the task, understands the methods used and checks the results obtained. In these
modern conditions, the university retains its most important function: it forms
independence of thinking and evaluates not only the work itself, but also the
student's ability to explain and justify its results."
As a practical tool for the development of responsible science, the
representative of BSU proposed the creation of a Russian-Chinese youth research
network. The initiative was supported by foreign colleagues, noting that
interdisciplinary international projects make it possible to effectively combine
knowledge to solve global challenges.
An important part of the event was an informative program for conference
guests. The delegates visited one of the leading scientific and technological
centers in China - the technopark of the Qianfang group of companies (China
TransInfo), which is the leader of the PRC in the development of digital
solutions for transport and logistics.
The forum participants clearly saw how theoretical developments in the field
of AI and big data (Big Data) are successfully turning into real industrial
products for the transport industry.
"The visit of the BSU representative to Beijing demonstrates the university's
high readiness for international integration in the digital sphere. The study of
best practices in the Qianfang Technopark not only confirmed the relevance of
Alexei Vladimirovich's report, but also clearly identified applied vectors for
future joint educational and scientific projects. It is these areas that are at
the intersection of fundamental education and real IT production that will
become the basis for the practical work proposed by the BSU of the
Russian-Chinese youth research network," commented the event. about. Vice-Rector
for Research and International Activities of the University Sanina
