BSU opened the Workshop of Chinese-Russian vocational education

To participate in the opening ceremony of the Workshop, a delegation of the Manchurian Institute of the Russian Language, a longtime partner of Baikal University, arrived at BSU.

Universities have successfully collaborated all these years on the implementation of double diploma programs, language internships. But, as the deputy director of MIYA, Mr. Sun Dezhong, said, it is time to expand interaction. According to him, the new program "Applied Russian," which university specialists have been developing jointly for two years already at the stage of completion of approval and will start in the near future.

The delegation included representatives of the faculties of management, environmental design, technological innovation. They made proposals for the creation of joint programs in such promising areas as information technology, artificial intelligence, cross-border trade. They also talked about the possibility of creating a joint institute.

Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Activities Elena Khitrova expressed hope for the implementation of many of the voiced ideas. And about. Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities Lyudmila Sanina suggested considering the possibility of training highly qualified specialists in graduate school and doctoral studies at BSU. Moreover, the Dissertation Councils of BSU correspond to the areas that are now popular in China.

After that, Anna Litovkina, Dean of the International Faculty, spoke about the training of more than 400 graduates from China at BSU, who are successful after graduation and know Russian well, which is very much appreciated in the country. And she suggested considering the possibility of a pedagogical direction for training students of the two countries for the subsequent training of those wishing to both Chinese and Russian, which are becoming more and more.

After fruitful negotiations, the guests went on a tour of the university, the end of the visit was the opening of the Workshop. Having cut the red ribbon, Mr. Sun Dezhong shared plans that the Manchurian Institute of the Russian Language is going to equip the Workshop with modern equipment. This will be the key to more fruitful cooperation between universities and better language training for students of the two universities.
