The decision of the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to award the Baikal State University with the highest state award of Mongolia was announced during the celebration of the 95th anniversary of BSU. The highest state award of Mongolia took its rightful place next to the Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the MPR, which was awarded to IFEI (BSU) in 1972.
