A delegation from the Qiqihar Women's Institute arrived to Baikal State
University. The representatives of the Chinese university discussed with the BSU
administration the possibilities of expanding cooperation. During the meeting, a
wide range of promising areas of cooperation was defined both with the Qiqihar
Institute itself and with other 26 universities of Heilongjiang Province.
Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations of BSU, welcomed the
delegation of the Chinese institute. During the introduction of the university,
he noted that Baikal State University has long and productive relations with
educational organizations of China.
A tour of the campus of Baikal State University was organized for the guests.
The visit to the TV and radio studio encouraged the rector of the Qiqihar
Institute Wang Min to promote the development of bilateral cooperation in
journalism. They also visited the reading rooms of the University Scientific
Library and the BSU International Faculty, where they met with Chinese students
studying under joint educational programs.
During the meeting, the head of the delegation of the Qiqihar Women's
Institute made a presentation of the headed educational institution and told
about the interest of 26 other educational institutions of Heilongjiang Province
to cooperate with our university.
“Chinese students are interested in studying abroad, so they actively
studying Russian at their university. We are interested in developing
cooperation on bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programs, as well as in
joint training of Chinese students in Russian language at the preparatory
faculties of our universities,” emphasized the rector of the Qiqihar Women's
Institute Wang Min.
