Overview

Psychology in power structures is concerned with issues of psychological support in management, performance of staff in law-enforcement agencies, defense authorities, personal and public security sphere, education, social care, work of psychological units.

Students will be taught to fulfill professional tasks, among which are
  • determining the applicant's psychological suitability for employment in law enforcement authorities, military service and predicting their psychological readiness to carry out professional tasks;
  • psychological training of staff for work in everyday and extreme conditions;
  • providing psychological support;
  • creating a psychological profile of an employee, analyze and evaluate the psychological conditions of his work;
  • developing and implementing programs aimed at prevention of misconduct and deviations in social and personal status, mental development of staff;
  • developing programs aimed at diagnosing employees’ problems requiring corrective intervention;
  • providing psychological aid in emergency situations;
  • training and certifying new staff;
  • teaching psychology at colleges and universities, et al.
