A conference dedicated to relations between Russia and APR countries at BSU

The international conference "RUSSIA AND APRICAN COUNTRIES: DIALOGUE OF CULTURES (TRADITIONS AND MODERNITY)" dedicated to the relationship between Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region was held at Baikal State University.

Delegation of the Manchurian Institute of Russian Language visited BSU

A delegation from the Manchurian Institute of Russian Language ( MIRL), headed by the Director Mr. Tian Zhenjiang, visited Baikal State University today. Vice-Rector for International Relations of BSU Mikhail Kuz’min gave the Chinese colleagues a tour of the university's landmark sites, followed by a meeting of the rector's office with members of the Chinese delegation.

Students of the International Department of BSU celebrated the Pancake Day

Russian Tea, a traditional event of the International Department, which has become a good tradition, was held. In 2024 it was timed to the celebration of "Maslenitsa" or Pancake Day. Students from China, Togo, Congo and Chile had an opportunity to dive into the joyful atmosphere of farewell of Russian winter. First, they were told about how Pancake Day was celebrated in Russia and later they watched a themed movie. Russian teachers organized a culinary master class where they explained how to make pancake batter according to a traditional Russian recipe.

BSU team took second place in the "Cups and Flowers" competition
