Thematic gatherings “The Life and Work of A. S. Pushkin” and “A. S. Pushkin in China” for foreign students studying at the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication were held at the Department of International Studies. The events were organized in the form of credit classes, poetry contests of reading A. S. Pushkin's poems.
For the fourth time Baikal State University became the venue for the Baikal Environmental Dictation. In 2024, over 12 thousand people from 28 regions of Russia, including the Lugansk People's Republic and Crimea, took part in the event. In 2024, the dictant is dedicated to the year of the family and the centenary of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Nature.
