BSU teachers work in Manchuria
The start of the admission campaign is traditionally associated with the admission of entrance tests in the Russian language from foreign applicants. These days, the dean of the International Faculty Anna Litovkina and the teacher of the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication Maria Syzykh work in China - at the Manchurian Institute of the Russian Language - a long-time partner university of BSU.
Chinese scientists visited BSU
Today, the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IRVECA KAON) and the Baikal State University signed a cooperation agreement. The signatures on the document were put by the rector of BSU Oleg Gribunov and the secretary of the party committee of IRVEC KAON Mr. Van Lei.
BSU invites to the international conference "The Great Tea Way"
From 25 to 27 August 2026, BSU will host the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Great Tea Way - an International Humanitarian Corridor: Historical Experience and a Look into the Future." The organizers are: Baikal State University, Irkutsk Society of Friends of Mongolia, Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia," Museum of the History of Irkutsk named after A. M. Sibiryakov.

At the ISU site, the 17th meeting of the Russian-Chinese working group on high technologies and innovations of the Subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation of the Russian-Chinese commission on the preparation of regular meetings of heads of government was held.
Consul General of the Consulate General of the PRC in Irkutsk visited BSU
Ms. Liu Yu is already familiar with the BSU team. This winter, at the site of SKDC "Khudozhestvenny" with the participation of students and teachers of the university, the consulate held a holiday for Chinese students in Irkutsk on the occasion of the meeting of spring. Today is an official visit to get acquainted with the university and confirm the intentions of comprehensive support for the university's initiatives aimed at developing partnerships between the two countries in the field of science and education.
