Cooperation in higher education was discussed at a meeting between the Governor of the Irkutsk Region and the Government of Liaoning Province (PRC). The meeting was held on the basis of Liaoning University.

The annual BSU Student Ball brought victory in media nominations to graduate students Polina Savenko and Vladimir Izmestiev. The 4th year journalists will already receive diplomas of higher education this year. From the very beginning of the Media Center, they have been actively involved in the activities of the university's radio, television, newspaper and website.
During his visit to China, BSU Vice-Rector for International Relations Mikhail Kuz’min held a series of working meetings with the leadership of five universities of Zhejiang Province - Ningbo University, East Ningbo University of Technology, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou Pedagogical University and Electronic University of Science and Technology.
