Natalia Egorova, Senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and International Communication at Baikal State University has worked with foreign students for more than 40 years. She is the author of five methodological and training manuals for international students on conducting certified testing. Natalia Egorova conducts advanced training courses at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and develops educational material for the university. Before testing, the senior teacher examines all the topics with the students. The level of training of students due to such increasing improves significantly.
The regional stage of the international competition "Chinese is a bridge" was held on May 12 in a remote format. Its organizers are the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Irkutsk and the Confucius Institute of the ISU.

The traditional annual university-wide event - the spring Student Ball – is going to be on the next Wednesday, June 15, at Baikal State University. According to the head of the Department for work with students of BSU Yulia Arshinskaya, the theme of the ball in 2022 is "The Carnival of Venice". The students suggested this topic.
The defense of the final research papers of students of the specialty «Forestry" took place at the Baikal University. Thirty future specialists of the forest fund of the region for several hours presented the members of the State Qualification Committee with the results of their pre–graduate practice, which took place both in the Irkutsk region and abroad - in the jungles of the Republic of the Congo. The youngest foreign researcher presented a scientific study on African topics from BSU – Fred Nguadi.
