Traditionally in the fall students of the International Department of Baikal State University make an educational excursion to the Architectural and Ethnographic Museum “Taltsy” and the village of Listvyanka. International students from Mauritania, China, Vietnam and Mongolia, as well as teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication went to the museum complex, where architectural and ethnographic monuments of the peoples of the Baikal region of the XVII-XX centuries are collected in the open air.

They not only help to learn about the rich heritage and traditions of China, but also promote better understanding between cultures, which is especially important in our diverse and multinational world.
The international scientific and practical conference “Elections in Russia and in the World: Society, Law, Technologies” started its work today at Baikal State University. It is organized by the Institute of Legal Studies of BSU. The conference is attended by representatives of the leading universities of the country - St. Petersburg State University, Higher School of Economics, Moscow Law University named after O.E. Kutafin and others. 56 applications were submitted for participation in the conference, including from scientists and practitioners from Belarus and Kazakhstan. At the event, the report “Some issues of proof in court in electoral cases” was delivered by the judge of the Irkutsk Regional Court, acting teacher Alexander Papusha.
2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. Russian-Chinese relations are developing at the highest level. In the future, it is planned to increase achievements through efforts in the most promising areas of cooperation.
international students studying at the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication of the BSU International Faculty met with the staff of the BSU Media Center and its Director Svetlana Gutentog. The guys came to congratulate the Media Center on the beginning of the new academic year and to thank for fruitful cooperation in the last academic year, for attentive attitude, prompt publication of information about scientific, educational and extracurricular activities with Chinese students. The guys presented the Media Center with a Chinese souvenir - a doll in the national costume of the Miao people, one of the 56 ethnic groups in China.
