Baikal State University celebrates its 94th Birthday on August 11. It was in these summer days in 1930 that the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR issued a decree on the formation of the Irkutsk Institute of Finance and Economics. Later its name changed to the Institute of National Economy, then it became Irkutsk State Economic Academy, then - Academy of Economics and Law, Baikal State University of Economics and Law. Finally, a few years ago it became Baikal State University.
The representatives of Shenyang Polytechnic University graduated from the summer language school of Baikal State University. On August 6, they were awarded certificates of completion of the course of Russian as a foreign language in a ceremonious atmosphere. During two weeks they were engaged in conversational practice, studied Russian grammar and Russian country studies.
Language skills are only a part of higher linguistic education.
A foreign graduate of Baikal University should not only speak Russian well, but also know the cultural peculiarities and historical milestones of Russia's development.
The representatives of Shenyang Polytechnic University - 22 students and 2 teachers - take part in the language school at BSU. The training will take 2 weeks. During this time, Chinese students have time to be acquainted with the sights of the region and Baikal State University.
