International faculty of BSU brightly and cheerfully held the initiation to students

Dedication to students is a unique celebration because it is the first time for every freshman. It is important to spend it brightly and cheerfully, so that memories remain for a lifetime. Russian and foreign students of the International Faculty of BSU organized an event in honor of the dedication of students, which took place on Thursday on the stage of Cultural Center “Khudozhestvenny”.

According to Irina Zarubina, the deputy dean of the BSU International Faculty, the second year of the faculty traditionally organizes this celebration for the first-year students. The guys themselves developed the idea of the celebration. They performed a modern dance composition for the freshmen, organized a quest. The guys were divided into teams and passed three stations: they pulled paper-cut figures, performed jazz-dance, and the freshmen repeated dance movements after them, played “Brook”. They played bottle tossing with fun and cheerfulness, and in the end, all together both foreign and Russian students sang karaoke. Divided into three teams, the freshmen passed through peculiar stations, danced jazz-dance, played “Brook”, bottle toss, and at the end all together sang karaoke.

All six freshman groups prepared videos. At the end of the event, the best ones were selected. The winners received sweet prizes.

The dean of the International Faculty Anna Litovkina and the chairperson of the Faculty Student Council Elizaveta Zemlyakova addressed the newly arrived guys with welcoming and farewell words.

“Our task is to unite and unite the guys, to stimulate them to engage in student extracurricular activities. After the initiation, many of them expressed their desire to help the faculty leadership,” says Anna Litovkina.

“Finally the initiation of students of our faculty took place and I would like to say that the guys are as cool as possible. It took a lot of effort to organize the event and, judging by the reaction of the freshmen, everything was not in vain,” said Elizaveta Zemlyakova.
