The representatives of Shenyang Polytechnic University graduated from the summer language school of Baikal State University. On August 6, they were awarded certificates of completion of the course of Russian as a foreign language in a ceremonious atmosphere. During two weeks they were engaged in conversational practice, studied Russian grammar and Russian country studies.

A total of 20 students and 2 teachers came to Irkutsk from Shenyang. In addition to studying, they also familiarized themselves with Siberian customs and culture, as well as with the sights of the region. The guests visited Olkhon Island, Taltsy ethnographic museum, attended master classes on pottery and matryoshka doll painting.

Shenyang Polytechnic University is one of the universities in China, which implements joint double degree programs with BSU. According to Anna Litovkina, Dean of the BSU International Faculty, similar summer and winter language schools for foreign students are planned in the future.
