From March 6 to July 6, 2nd year BSU students made a trip to China (Chizhao,
Shandong Province) for language training. During the whole semester they studied
at Shandong University. Every year students of Baikal University of
International Relations have such an opportunity.
The name of the city, which translates as "The first rays of the sun", as
best as possible reflects the impressions of students, who for a whole semester
learned not only to speak, but also to think in Chinese. The internship program
included the study of 7 disciplines in Chinese, following the results of which
the students took credits and exams. At the end of the language internship, they
received three certificates: a certificate of university studies, a certificate
of good student (for good studies and active student life) and a certificate
with final grades.
"Mastery of a foreign language for international specialists is a necessity.
Guys who have chosen for themselves the direction of training "International
Relations" by the end of training should perfectly master a foreign language. It
is well known that the best way to master a language, especially such a complex
one as Chinese, is to immerse yourself in the language environment - not only to
live in China, but also to study at a Chinese university," said Inga Yeritsyan,
a lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Customs Affairs of
Baikal State University.
