Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations, visited scientific and educational centers and large industrial sites of Ningbo, Zhoushan, Hangzhou and Shanghai. He was included in the Russian delegation of scientific and educational leaders and specialists as a laureate of the Chinese Ambassador to Russia Award.
The Chinese Ambassador Award was established in 2020 by the Chinese Embassy in Russia, the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Vice-Rector for International Relations Mikhail Kuz’min was among the six scientists who won the international prize in February 2023.
According to Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations, the trip was productive. The greatest interest was aroused by the visit to a wide list of educational institutions of significant interest for the organization of cooperation with Baikal State University. Moreover, meetings with representatives of administrations of cities, districts and provinces interested in establishing strong ties both with the Irkutsk region in general and with BSU in particular were of great importance.
"The administrations of each city organized representative conferences and forums, within the framework of which the participants of the delegation and the host country presented their organizations and research interests. During these events with the administration of Ningbo city it was possible to discuss the possibilities of implementation of BSU students and teachers mobility programs in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the implementation of joint scientific research. Moreover, the Sino-Russian platform of scientific and engineering personnel in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship was inaugurated” - said Mikhail Kuz’min.
