On the eve of the 79th anniversary of the Victory Day on May 7, BSU hosted
the “St. George Ribbon” action with the laying of flowers at the Wall of
Remembrance in honor of students and faculty members, war veterans who died in
World War II.
“Unfortunately, today, when SMO is going on, we are again performing the very
important task of protecting women, old men and children, war veterans from the
descendants of the Nazis. And so holding such an event is indeed very
important,” commented Oleg Gribunov, First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for
Research.
“It is important to remember those who not only participated in the military
actions at the front, but also those who were on the home front. Today we
remember all our students and workers who worked in the hospital, which was
located in the building of our university. And it is very important to remember
and understand this now, when it is necessary for all our citizens to help the
front, to help the SVO to achieve victory,” - shared Vice-Rector for Youth
Policy Julia Pyatkovskaya.
