The premiere of the play "Tartuffe. Moliere."

Within the framework of the regional stage of the Russian Student Spring Festival, the premiere of the performance based on Moliere's comedy play "Tartuffe" took place on the stage of the Arts Center. The theater studio of the Center demonstrated the production for Creativity of Baikal State University "By Role".

The jury included theater teacher, director, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kiryunin, actress, director, teacher of youth chamber theater "Basement" Maria Selezneva.

The play "Tartuffe" by Moliere tells about hypocrisy, faith and cruelty of a man who hides his immorality behind the mask of religious morality. The play contains much satire, irony and moral lessons that remain relevant today.

According to Nadezhda Slavnaya, artistic director and director of the "By Role" theater, students who are in their first year of attending the student theater performed the play.

"The students are interesting, so we took a very difficult play. And this is where that Vakhtangov unity came through. The time, the author, the cast. The most important thing is that these are the actors who can carry such heavy roles on by their psychophysics. I would not say it any other way, because it is difficult. The play itself is difficult. It's written in verses. And, it is obvious that we also had to work very hard on the play. But we should not forget that our theater is just an amateur one.”

The students who take part in the play are of various ages.

"There are master's students, freshmen, and second, third, fourth, and fifth year university students."

After the performance, viewers were shown interesting moments about how the rehearsal process went, and the jury members also gave guidance to the young actors.
