Baikal International Youth Forum closing ceremony took place
On the territory of Mukhor Bay, on the shore of the Maloye Sea, the closing
ceremony of the Baikal International Youth Forum was held on August 15, attended
by Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region. Within the framework of the
forum closing, the results of two grant contests were announced: the All-Russian
contest of youth projects of Rosmolodezh and the regional grant contest of the
Ministry of Youth Policy of the Irkutsk region. Thus, 59 young people received
grant support totaling 14 million rubles.
BSU students took a trip to the forum “Baikal”
The Baikal International Youth Forum is a platform for the most active and brave. In 2024, more than 600 participants who successfully passed the competitive selection process will take part in the Forum. The Baikal Forum takes place from August 12 to 16 on the shores of Lake Baikal in Khuzhir-Nugai Bay.

Baikal State University celebrates its 94th Birthday on August 11. It was in these summer days in 1930 that the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR issued a decree on the formation of the Irkutsk Institute of Finance and Economics. Later its name changed to the Institute of National Economy, then it became Irkutsk State Economic Academy, then - Academy of Economics and Law, Baikal State University of Economics and Law. Finally, a few years ago it became Baikal State University.
Chinese students received certificates of study at the BSU language school
The representatives of Shenyang Polytechnic University graduated from the summer language school of Baikal State University. On August 6, they were awarded certificates of completion of the course of Russian as a foreign language in a ceremonious atmosphere. During two weeks they were engaged in conversational practice, studied Russian grammar and Russian country studies.
Guests from Shenyang were introduced to the history and culture of Siberia
Language skills are only a part of higher linguistic education.
A foreign graduate of Baikal University should not only speak Russian well, but also know the cultural peculiarities and historical milestones of Russia's development.
