XXII interregional interuniversity contest in professional Chinese (business aspect) ended at the International Faculty of BSU.

In 2023 nine students from different universities took part in the competition:

Dana Lanskaya, Dulma Garmaeva, Lilia Romanova (ISU); Ulyana Efremova, Ilya Moroz, Irina Podoba (FEFU), Alina Khafizova (SFU) and Yulia Shokhina (SPbSU). Baikal State University was presented at the copmpetition by a 4th year student Arina Chernikova.

The contest included 2 stages. At the first stage students completed tasks in a written format. For the second stage the guys prepared their resumes in Chinese. The participants had an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge during an interview with a Chinese company. This year students showed unanimity in choosing the company, eight from nine participants wanted to get a job in Shanghai trading company. Only BSU student Arina Chernikova chose a different company, having received the most points for the oral part.

Jury members were native Chinese teachers, which sometimes asked tricky questions. The jury noticed the high level of preparation and knowledge of business vocabulary of the participants, thanks to which they coped with the oral part of the contest without any problems. Such a good experience will help future graduates in employment.

As a result, Arina Chernikova won the first place (85 points),the second place took Alina Khafizova (80 points) and the third place –Yulia Shokhina (72 points).
