The International Faculty held an eco-week. The event was organized to
develop environmental culture and formation of environmental habits among
students. All preparations were made by the freshmen.
“We understood, that young people care about the environment. They listened
to us with a twinkle in their eyes, and then helped to make a video. Guys were
actively involved in the conversation and they offered their cool alternatives
to disposable things. We even have got a cool environmental start-up idea”, -
tells one of the event organizers Olga Bagaeva.
The participants of the event talked about ways to save the nature. They
offered to use thermoses instead of plastic bottles and to wear shoppers. The
students of the International Faculty use only metal chopsticks and
containers.
Second and fourth year students took part at the eco-week, hosted by
freshmen, as well. In the framework of the project the students were given a
lecture about healthy environmental habits and they were told what things can be
reused. They also learned about reception and processing points of plastic,
glass and paper. Collection of used batteries was opened at the International
Faculty.
