Yesterday, on the day of Russian students, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev met with the students of Baikal State University in Irkutsk.

BSU works as a higher education organization since 1930, when Siberian Financial Economic Institute was founded. During the 90-years history the university has grown into a powerful vertically integrated interregional educational and scientific complex, that includes all stages of pre-university, university and postgraduate education. Anatoly Seryshev graduated from this educational organization, receiving the specialty of economist, in 1988.

The Plenipotentiary of the President got acquainted with the educational and social projects of the university, that were currently implemented, and visited Media center, library and some other departments. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President talked to the teachers of the university and answered the student’s questions.

Anatoly Seryshev talked about his student life and principles that he adheres to in his work. “Student life is a wonderful time, every minute of which should be cherished” – noted Anatoly Seryshev. “It’s important not to be afraid of any life situations, to be hardworking and persistent, learn to think for yourself, look for the root cause of the current events, do not miss the opportunity to realize your ideas” - told the Plenipotentiary of the President.

As the Plenipotentiary of the President says, you need to set goals, that will benefit the whole society, to be in dialogue with others in order to find solutions to emerging difficulties together. The main traditional value of the Russian society is the family - spouses support each other and help to achieve goals. Anatoly Seryshev is convinced that in large and friendly families the child will grow up as a true citizen and patriot of his country.
