Delegation from Mongloia headed by the Consul General Mr. Zhigmed Enkhzhargal has visited BSU. Viktor Ignatenko, Rector of BSU, personally lead the distinguished guests through the corridors of our university, showed them the scientific library and the Rector’s reading room. The Consul General notes the scale and diversity of BSU book collection. Mr. Enkhzhargal was especially impressed by the book collection about Mongolia. The guest appreciated not only the interiors and facades of BSU, but also the atmosphere prevailing in our university, as well as a huge potential for studying of Mongolian students in a wide range of specialties.
Zhigmed Enkhzhargal, Consul General of Consulate General of Mongolia in Irkutsk, said: “I really liked it. I really liked your university. If I were young, I would apply to your university once again to get a degree in another specialty.”
BSU surprised the Consul General not only with educational opportunities, but also with modern media spaces. The guests were told about programs created by our students at the radio station. During the delegation visit, the author’s program of Igor Alter “Cultural enlightenment” (Kultprosvet) was recording. The guests were able to watch the creation of the program in real time. Then they went to the television pavilion, where the Consul General noted our modern equipment, high quality of filming and level of sound insulation. The visit ended with a plans discussion for further development of international relations.
Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations of BSU, said: “At the moment, we are developing a complex of cooperation with our Mongolian partners in the field of new educational programs and attracting applicants.” BSU has vast experience in teaching Mongolian students, we are always glad to accept new students and prepare them as professional managerial personnel for our closest neighbor – Mongolia. Therefore, BSU and Mongolia plan to continue maintaining friendly relations and developing cooperation in the scientific, educational and cultural fields.
