Preparations for the First Intercollegiate festival of songs in foreign languages "Sounds of Music", which will be held in February 2023, are in full swing. This was reported by Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of BSU Marina Egorova.

The festival will be held on the stage of the cultural and leisure center "Khudozhestvenny " (Художественный). Previously, it was held only among students of Baikal State University, but in 2023 the organizers decided to reach the citywide level.

"Now there is an admission of applications for participation from BSU students. Ten applications have already been received from students studying in the fields of “Linguistics”, “Translate and Translation Studies”, “Finance”, “Journalism”, “Tourism”, as well as from students of the BSU College. Announced numbers of different genres in English, French and Korean. The admission of applications for participation will last until December 4, 2022," says Marina Egorova.

The auditions of participants and the selection of staging numbers will be held on December 12 and 13 at the cultural and leisure center "Khudozhestvenny "from 13.00 to 14.30.
