On November 16 on the stage of the People’s Friendship University of Russia has taken place the EEUA 2022 International Award ceremony in the field of internationalization of higher education as part of annual Vice-Rectors meeting for international activity of Russian universities.
92 applications were admitted for the award. The expert jury chose the winners in 10 nominations dedicated to the development of interuniversity cooperation, the organization of international departments of universities, the international reputation, the internationalization of education programs, the mobility of students and teachers, the leaders’ personal contribution, etc. The jury members were guided by such criteria as the scale of university ‘s achievement, the conformity of the outcomes with objectives, the efficiency of available resources, the creativity and originality.
Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations of BSU, received an award for ‘Personal Contribution’. The jury members highly appreciated the results of his professional activities. One of the achievements of BSU in the field of internationalization were the doubling of the foreign students’ enrollment, the creation of a new website of the university in English and Chinese, the development of international cooperation, the strengthening of the university’s position in national rankings, the popularization of the university’s educational products abroad, and also the internationalization of educational information environment of BSU.
During the speech, Vice-Rector for International Relations thanked the jury members for the great appreciation of the BSU achievements in the field of internationalization. Mikhail Kuz’min noted: “Obtaining this award became possible thanks to the support of international initiatives by our Rector Viktor Ignatenko, the professional and well-cooperated work of International Department, as well as the assistance of other departments of our university.”
Note: The EEUA International Award is an annual competition of university projects in the field of internationalization of higher education in Russia and CIS, by which the best international university projects will receive recognition and fame, and professionals will have the opportunity to exchange their experience and get acquainted with the best practices.
