Graduates of BSU from Mongolia visited their favorite university

For the first time, a live broadcast in the Mongolian language was held in the studio of the Radio «BOOM» of The Baikal State University. Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice–Rector for International Affairs of BSU, is the host of the improvised radio program.

The speakers are graduates of Baikal University who arrived in the capital of Eastern Siberia on a friendly visit. They did not miss the opportunity not only to visit their Alma Mater, but also to greet Russian and Mongolian students of the Baikal State University in two languages.

Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of BSU: "Today's meeting with Mongolian graduates has become an important event in our international activities. It provides a basis for further development of cooperation with Mongolia both in the field of science and in the field of academic exchanges, educational activities, admission of Mongolian students to us."

Representatives of the Rector's office and the international department of BSU conducted the guests a tour of the university. They visited the shooting pavilion of the BSU Media Center, the scientific library and even visited the very reading room where they once worked on their student and scientific works.

Baatar Batdaram, Member of the Board of the Association for the Development of Mongolian-Russian Business Cooperation: "There have been great changes. Our university has become very attractive. Beautiful facades, modern buildings, an excellent scientific library, cafeterias. Perfect conditions have been created for our students to study."

Mongolian graduates highly appreciate the level of education and the brand of Baikal University. High quality training of professional personnel, financiers, economists and lawyers have been conducted here for many years.

Oyun-Undrah Zandansuren, graduate student of BSU: "We consider that Baikal State University is a blacksmith of personnel for the economy of Mongolia. They say that this story is for the Guinness Book of Records, because our graduates turned out to be 10 finance ministers of Mongolia and 5 heads of the central bank of Mongolia."

A visit to Irkutsk is not only a visit to his native university, but also a tour of Irkutsk streets, a reception at the Consulate General of Mongolia and, of course, the conclusion of agreements on strengthening cooperation and developing international relations. Mongolia remains one of the closest foreign regions, advanced for both applicants and graduates.
