BSU invites to the international conference "The Great Tea Way"

From 25 to 27 August 2026, BSU will host the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Great Tea Way - an International Humanitarian Corridor: Historical Experience and a Look into the Future." The organizers are: Baikal State University, Irkutsk Society of Friends of Mongolia, Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia," Museum of the History of Irkutsk named after A. M. Sibiryakov.

The scientific event will take place within the framework of the VII Baikal International Forum of Partners, which will be held in Irkutsk also at the end of August and will be devoted to the economic interaction of the regions along the route of the Great Tea Way.

The following are invited to participate:

  • Teachers and researchers of universities and academic institutes of the Russian Federation;
  • Archival and museum workers;
  • Experts who study the politics, economy and culture of Russia, China and Mongolia;
  • Undergraduates, undergraduates and postgraduates.

The focus areas:

  • Historical Issues in Russian-Chinese relations;
  • The Road in international processes and economic development: from past to future;
  • Themes of culture, language, and art;
  • Historical Memory and Symbolic Politics;
  • Business and Innovation.

Key dates:

  • July 25 - completion of applications;
  • August 20 - completion of acceptance of ready-made publications;
  • August 25-27 - conference events.
