The Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev presented the rector of Baikal State University, Professor Oleg Gribunov, with the Gratitude of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The award was awarded to the university staff for their services in the field of science and education, as well as for their contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists.

The solemn ceremony took place in the Government of the region. On behalf of the President, Igor Kobzev presented state awards to residents of the Baikal region who have achieved outstanding success in various fields of activity.

Honorary titles awarded:

"Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation" - Elena Meteleva, Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Human Resources Management

"Honored Economist of the Russian Federation" - Sergey Astafyev, Head of the Department of Economics of Construction and Real Estate Management

"Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation" - Diana Stepanenko, Professor, Department of Forensics, Forensic Science and Legal Psychology

Irina Minnikes, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Legal Research, BSU, was awarded the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree
