international students studying at the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication of the BSU International Faculty met with the staff of the BSU Media Center and its Director Svetlana Gutentog. The guys came to congratulate the Media Center on the beginning of the new academic year and to thank for fruitful cooperation in the last academic year, for attentive attitude, prompt publication of information about scientific, educational and extracurricular activities with Chinese students. The guys presented the Media Center with a Chinese souvenir - a doll in the national costume of the Miao people, one of the 56 ethnic groups in China.

“Our kids get very excited when they see the Media Center's news about themselves. They copy links, texts, photos about their events to send this information to their parents and friends in China. And also to their Chinese teachers of Russian as a foreign language at schools and universities in China where they studied Russian. Some of our students come on an inclusive basis, for their second and third years, so they actively keep in touch with their university teachers in China. I think that the Media Center news on the BSU website is an excellent advertisement for Chinese students and their parents when choosing a Russian university to study Russian. Thank you very much to all colleagues of the BSU Media Center!”, says Olga Kichatinova, a teacher of the BSU International Faculty.

The international students expressed their desire to continue telling about their life in Irkutsk and their studies at Baikal State University.
