2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. Russian-Chinese relations are developing at the highest level. In the future, it is planned to increase achievements through efforts in the most promising areas of cooperation.

On the occasion of the anniversary yesterday, Mr. Li Hai, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Irkutsk, met with the leadership of the Irkutsk region and the city of Irkutsk, with representatives of the regional parliament and the city Duma, who delivered welcoming addresses at the meeting.

At the invitation of the Chinese side, the meeting was attended by the Acting Rector of Baikal State University, Professor Oleg Gribunov, Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities of the University Vladimir Sinichenko, as well as representatives of the International Faculty and International Management of BSU.

The prospects of cooperation between the university and leading universities of China in scientific and educational spheres were discussed. Baikal State University implements joint educational programs with many universities in the Celestial Empire, BSU students take an active part in international scientific and representative events with Chinese partners, there is an exchange of students for language internships, the start of the China-Russia Cooperation Center is discussed, etc.
