Anastasia and Tatiana Alexeev’s are twin sisters. They come from Angarsk and have been involved in music since early childhood. Anastasia plays the flute, and Tatiana is improving in pop and jazz vocals. Anastasia is a third-year student in Fine Arts, and Tatiana is a third-year student in Advertising and Public Relations. BSU students are repeated prize-winners and winners of various musical competitions, but they performed at the international youth festival "On the Silk Road" for the first time. The contest is very prestigious and popular abroad. This is evidenced by the fact that in the first round, which was held in January in the city of Angarsk, more than 750 young talents from the Irkutsk region, Buryatia, Mongolia and China took part. The audition was held for three days from morning till late evening.

The second round took place in April in Ulaanbaatar. The participants competed in three categories: "Dance Skills", "Vocal" and "Instrumental". The final of the festival was held in Bogdo-Khot (Inner Mongolia, PRC)."I was very worried. After all, a huge hall, a lot of spectators. But everything went well. I performed the same composition "Hypnosis", with which I won the grand prize at the "Student Spring-2024" in Irkutsk," says third-year BSU student Anastasia Alekseeva.

First she performed an English-language hit by the band "Queen" and then wowed the jury with a rousing rendition of Maria Devyatova's song "I am a country girl. “Despite the fact that I specialize in jazz and pop repertoire, I spent several months practicing folk vocals with a very good teacher. And, as it turned out, not for nothing. Both the audience and the jury liked it very much", - shared her impressions Tatiana Alekseeva, a third-year BSU student.

The organizers not only awarded the winners with diplomas and valuable prizes, but also arranged for them a three-day tour through the picturesque cities of Inner Mongolia. Now the sisters will prepare for the next stage of their career - participation in the festival "We are together", which will be held in Angarsk on August 4. This is a new challenge, and a new step towards the creative Olympus.
