On April 5, during the visit to Ulaanbaatar, Oleg Gribunov, the first vice-rector - vice-rector for scientific work, Mikhail Kuz’min, vice-rector for international relations, as well as Mikhail Vinokurov, BSU honorary rector, were received by the chairman of the Great State Hural of Mongolia Gombozhavyn Zandanshatar.

During the meeting, the members of the BSU delegation presented to the Chairman of the Great State Hural the main directions of cooperation between the university and Mongolia and outlined possible prospects for their development. Also the BSU representatives on behalf of the whole university staff thanked G. Zandanshatar for the support of the VII Forum of Mongolian graduates and assistance in its organization.

Gombojavyn Zandanshatar called Baikal State University a good platform for the development of Mongolian-Russian cooperation and noted that the Mongolian side is ready to support the initiatives of the university in the field of expanding scientific and educational cooperation.

In the final part of the negotiations, the university delegation on behalf of BSU Rector Viktor Ignatenko voiced an official invitation to G. Zandanshatar to participate next year in the official events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Baikal State University.
