Creative performance at Port Baikal

Last week a team of BSU students traveled to Port Baikal to take part in a cultural and educational project - a creative performance "We Love, Preserve, Create". This project is dedicated to the memory of writer Valentin Rasputin, who lived and created his works here, near Lake Baikal.

All the participants gathered in the Cultural Center "Khudozhestvenny". They traveled by bus, on the way they were acquainted with each other and shared stories about Lake Baikal.

Having crossed the ferry to the destination, the students chose the most beautiful ("full-scale") views and took up their brushes.

Unusual nature of Baikal spilled over in the albums of young artists with multicolored colors. Leonid Pahorukov, a teacher of the BSU art studio, helped the students. Landscapes were different, mostly the participants painted watercolors.

The little journey did not end here. To continue their greeting with the writer's work, the students visited Valentin Rasputin's dacha. Now there live his relatives - the poet Vladimir Skif and his wife, a sister of Valentin Rasputin's wife. They told a lot about Valentin Grigorievich: it turns out that the writer's handwriting was calligraphic, but very small, so it was impossible to make out what was written without habit.

Writer and poet Vladimir Skif told about his works. Some of the students bought his books with an autograph. Today, university students could see him at the creative meeting in Cultural Center "Khudozhestvenny".

On the way back, on the ferry, tired but happy students shared their impressions with each other.

Landscapes of Baikal, created by students, can be viewed on September 28 at the Museum of V. Rasputin. Rasputin.

The trip was an event organized by the BSU Creativity Center within the framework of the Rosmolodezh grant in the nomination "Inspire". The project leader is Ekaterina Bolotova, the external relations specialist is Maria Mityaeva, and the mentor is Maria Fomicheva.
