Official vacations are not a hindrance for the continuation of exciting
studies of the students-participants of the squad "Sobol 508". Recall that in
May, at the initiative of students of the Institute of State Law and National
Security of Baikal State University based on the section of applied physical
training (head - associate professor of the Department of Legal Support of
National Security BSU Nikerov Dmitry Mikhailovich) was created a public
association of law enforcement.
The BSU Rectorate and Rosmolodezh supported the initiative. The association
is included in the official register of people's vigilantes of the Russian
Federation under the number 101, and its members are preparing for joint
activities with law enforcement agencies of the region.
During the summer training, the members of the squad not only continued
classes in the section according to the approved training program for
vigilantes, but also took an individual parachute-training course and received
admissions to group jumps without an instructor. But the summer was devoted not
only to classes and trainings. Members of the student squad made a multi-day
tourist trip to the Tunka Valley (from the area of Kultuk settlement on the
Baikal Circle Railroad to the settlement of Nilov’s Desert). They took part in
the Baikal ethno-festival, held under the patronage of the Government of the
Irkutsk region, participated in rafting on puddle boards on the Irkut River and
even made training flights on a paraglider.
"A busy vacation is the key to a successful start of studies", - this is the
opinion of the students who are engaged in the section of applied physical
training. And the professors agree with this.
The second stage of competitive selection for the Sobol-508 squad will
continue in September 2023.
