The Head of the Main Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Irkutsk region, Major General of Police Dmitry Ilyichev visited Baikal University.
Rector Viktor Ignatenko and First Vice-Rector for Research Oleg Gribunov made
a personal tour of the university for the guest. Dmitry Ilyichev visited the
radio studio of the university and the shooting pavilion of the university
television.
In the list of programs produced by the BSU Media Center, he was particularly
interested in the programs on legal topics: "Legal Accent" and "From the Version
to the Truth", as well as the daily news digest "Events of Pribaikalye". Dmitry
Ilyichev, who himself is a candidate of law, also visited the rector's and
central reading rooms of the Scientific Library, where he was shown publications
and journals produced on the basis of BSU.
For the official part of the visit, the head of the Main Department of the
Interior Ministry of the region and the management of the university discussed
the participation of Baikal University in the training and education of future
as well as current law enforcement officers in legal programs of both secondary
and higher education, including in the north of the Irkutsk region.
"Spacious buildings, bright classrooms - this is a wonderful modern
university, where future professionals are trained, including for the internal
affairs bodies", - Dmitry Ilyichev shared his impressions about his visit to
Baikal State University.
