A large delegation of Mongolian parliamentarians, representatives of the Ministry of International Affairs and Consulate General of Mongolia, headed by the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, Mr. Gombojavin Zandanshatar, visited Baikal State University yesterday.

This is the first visit of the Mongolian delegation after the coronavirus pandemic. Mr. Gombozzhavyn Zandanshatar graduated from Irkutsk Institute of National Economy with a major in "Finance and Credit", so our campus is familiar to him. The brand of Baikal State University is still prestigious and diplomas of its graduates are very appreciated in Mongolia.

At Baikal State University the delegation visited the radio and video studio, the guests were demonstrated the potential of the university for the implementation of international media projects, in the central reading room of the BSU scientific library the delegates were introduced to the exhibition of Mongolian literature, where the head of the Mongolian parliament left an autograph on one of the books. At the Center for Mongolian Studies the guests were told about the current and prospective projects of the university in the field of Mongolian Studies, the delegation also visited the Institute of Management and Finance of Baikal State University.

"The visit of the Mongolian delegation will contribute to the progressive development of the Center for Mongolian Studies and the involvement under its auspices of various international projects, including scientific ones, in collaboration with Mongolian colleagues. Moreover, the results of today's meeting will form the basis for a significant increase in the number of Mongolian students at our university. This is also facilitated by the great experience of our university in training highly qualified specialists and executives for the financial and economic sector of Mongolia", - noted Mikhail Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Baikal State University.
