The university showed good results in education, taking 131 place with 740
points. In the field of research and innovation BSU is at 152 (191 points) and
142 (286 points) positions respectively. It must be emphasized that in the field
of international cooperation, in comparison with 2022, Baikal State University
has improved its position by three times. In this area, the university scored
460 points and switched from 176th to 58th place.
"Strengthening positions of BSU in each of the areas in the rating is the
result of effective and coordinated work of the entire team of the university.
The growth of the university's performance in the field of international
cooperation is primarily associated with an increase in the enrollment of
foreign students, attracting new foreign partners from the priority countries
for the Russian Federation, with being an active member of international
associations, participation in international conferences and exhibitions, as
well as the development of multilingual online resources of BSU. We will raise
the prestige of our education in Russia and, of course, abroad," noted Mikhail
Kuz’min, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Baikal State University.
For reference. The National Ranking of Universities is a result of the annual
large-scale study of Russian universities, which is conducted by the Interfax
Group since 2010. Its main goal is to develop mechanisms and procedures for an
independent evaluation of Russian universities and their educational programs,
to increase the competitiveness of the national system of education, research
and technological entrepreneurship, to develop federal and regional
universities.
